Tell us a little about River Realty. How long have you been servicing the Maitland and Hunter region?

River was founded in 2001, so we have been trading for 21 years now. Since then, we’ve become a trusted name in real estate across the Lower Hunter area. River realty are specialists for rentals, it’s a hot property market right now, do you have tips for those needing to secure a rental?

The best tip at the moment would be to have a well prepared and fully complete application. Once you have submitted this application, it would then be a good idea to make contact with the designated property manager and let them know you have submitted the application. Communication is key!

What are your hot tips for those with dogs and cats wanting to rent?

It is always a good idea to have some pictures of them in the application and a bit of a story on them so the property manager can advise the landlord. 

Onto the tricky part, what would you recommend someone do if their dog or cat causes a bit of damage in a rental?

It’s best to be honest with the property manager. Let us know what has happened and if you would like our tradesman to rectify or if you will carry out the repairs yourself. 

In a lighter note, what is your favourite part about being an agency?
