Custom Size Dog Beds in Australia: The Complete Guide
Standard dog bed sizes work for most dogs, most of the time. But "most of the time" isn't much comfort when you've got a Great Dane sprawled across the hallway, a crate that no off-the-shelf mat fits properly, or a perfect little nook under the stairs that's 15cm too narrow for anything in stock.
That's where custom sizing comes in, and it's something almost no one in Australia can actually do.
Why Custom Sizing Even Exists
Dog beds are mass-produced overseas in fixed sizes. If your space or your dog doesn't match those sizes, you're out of luck, unless the company actually manufactures locally and can cut, sew and build a bed to your measurements.
At Rover Pet Products, we're the only genuine manufacturer of dog beds left in Australia. Every bed is made in our factory in Rutherford, NSW. You can see exactly how our beds are made here. It means when you ask for a bed that's 140cm x 90cm instead of the standard size, we can simply make it.
The Most Common Reasons People Order Custom
Giant breeds. Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds, Cane Corsos. Dogs that simply outgrow every standard size on the market. The largest custom bed we've made is 2m x 1.2m.
Crate fitting. Crates vary enormously between brands, and a mat that slides around or bunches up in the corners defeats the purpose. A custom bed cut to your crate's internal dimensions fits wall to wall.
Awkward spaces. Under a desk, a corner of the lounge room, a laundry alcove. The spots dogs love are rarely rectangle-standard.
Multi-dog households. Two dogs who insist on sleeping together often need one oversized bed rather than two standard ones.

How to Order
The process is simple. Measure the length and width you need, decide which bed type suits your dog, and either message us on Facebook or Instagram, or email bryan@roverpetproducts.com.au with your measurements and bed type. Turnaround Times
Custom beds are designed, manufactured and dispatched from our NSW factory, and the process can take up to 4-6 weeks. Standard turnaround times don't apply to custom orders. Demand is strong, and each bed is made individually.
